They are a non-profit organization that provides families a place to stay while their child receives medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The Ronald McDonald House assisted over 2,000 families in 2017. This month we would love to provide new/used board games, new puzzles, & card games. You can drop off your donations at Life Skills in ACTion until February 28th. Thank you for your support to The Ronald McDonald House & the families they welcome!

Parenting Tip Testing can cause anxiety for many students. Helping your child prepare ahead of time will certainly help them feel more at ease before any testing begins. Here are a few tips on making the most of the prep time.

  1. Practice any practice tests that are available. This will allow your child to become familiar with the format of the assessment.
  2. Study as much as possible over an extended period of time. Trying to cram it in will only cause more stress.
  3. Eat a protein packed breakfast the morning of testing. Proteins allow for better concentration and will keep you from feeling tired.
  4. Catch those ZZZ's! A full night's rest the night before an assessment will help you stay focused.
  5. Pace yourself during the test. Scan the test before you begin so you can estimate how long you will have for each question. Don't allow one question to hold you back.
