Director of Operations, Manager, OL: Life Skills in Action is a learning center providing 5 core programs.  We offer before school programming, the Red Hawk Academy, after school study lab, tutoring and Palooza camp experiences for camp and kids night out.   We seek to educate the whole child by nurturing students’ intellectual, emotional, and physical development so they may attain their highest potential. We are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse learning community that develops the character of and a strong sense of social responsibility in each student. The Director of Operations serves as the liaison between our alumni, students, families, faculty, and staff with the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality. This role sets a positive tone for all visitors, callers, and guests through exercising our core values of perseverance, diligence, and integrity. The manager will always demonstrate an upbeat and helpful attitude and take pride in being the face of Life Skills in ACTion. You will also work to maintain scheduling and event planning.

Director of Finance, Bookkeeper OL: We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with knowledge of Quickbooks, google docs and Canva. This is a part time position working 2 days per week with the potential to work 1-2 days more with business growth. This person is responsible for invoicing, applying payments, supporting payroll, and supporting our clients with payment plans.

Director of Curriculum OL: Are you a teacher and love to plan fun and exciting lessons? We need a teacher to plan lessons for our before and afterschool programs. You will work with the Director of Curriculum in the Wesley Chapel office. This is a part time role that has a flexible schedule and can be scheduled while your kids are at school! We want the perfect person to create memorable moments and lessons, while providing instruction that meet the goals of our classroom teacher partners, in our local schools.

Director of Facilities and Logistics OL: We are looking for an experienced van driver during the school year, as well as some summer hours. This is a part-time, hourly position. A current CDL license is preferred. You will also be eligible to take on the role of facilities director by overseeing the management and care of the site.

Social Media Manager: Supporting our social media and website with archiving, maintaining a live presence and updating with events and announcements. This is a part time position and can be done remotely with one weekly meeting in the office. Squarespace, twitter, instagram and facebook proficient are a plus.

Red Hawk Academy: Daytime

Elementary and Middle School Instructor WC and OL: Our program is expanding in the 2024-2025 school year and we need an energetic and knowledgeable instructor for our daytime classes, specifically working with our 1st-3rd grade, 3-5th grade and/or 6th-8th grade students. Florida certification is required. Work hours are 8:15 AM-3PM daily. Our students are eager to learn from the best and work based in project based hands on learning. We schedule monthly field trips to support the programs you plan.

High School Instructors WC only: Our program is expanding in the 2024-2025 school year and we need an energetic and knowledgeable instructor for our daytime classes, specifically working with our 9th-10th grade students in the areas of English, Algebra/Geometry, History and Biology students. Florida certification is required. Work hours are 8:15 AM-3PM daily. Our students are eager to learn from the best and work based in project based hands on learning. We schedule monthly field trips to support the programs you plan.

Parent Support and Navigation WC and OL: We are looking for administrators and teachers who can help families plan and navigate their parent conferences, 504/IEP meetings, liaison between school and child/family, homeschool plans, and parenting support for a more successful relationship with the child’s academics. Work hours will vary and can be scheduled by appointment to work around your schedule. This support person would be able to provide concierge services to our families for support outside of our center such as referrals for ADHD, Autism, Counseling, ABA therapy, gifted enrichment, and many more areas.

Summer 2024 and 2024-2025 After School VIP Program: Afternoon and Evening

2024-2025 Elementary School Instructor WC and OL: We will be hiring up to five instructors for this role. Ask a friend to join you! Looking for instructional tutors to assist students in the areas of reading, writing and/or math. Florida certification is required. Work hours are 4-7 PM or 4-6PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. You will work with small groups and/or individual students. During this time, our after school program is supporting our students in mastery of subjects taught at school. We provide that additional reinforcement of skills and work with the students classroom teachers to create the best outcomes possible. This is a 10 month position but you will have the option to work during public school breaks during our camp sessions.

2024-2025 Middle and High School Instructor WC and OL: We will be hiring up to five instructors for this role. Ask a friend to join you! Looking for instructional tutors to assist students in the areas of reading, history, writing and/or math. Florida certification is required. Work hours are 4-7 PM or 4-6PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. You will work with small groups and/or individual students. 2024-2025 Exectutive functioning Coach WC and OL: Looking for a candidate that can support students with organization, study skills, schedules, maintaining calendars and communication skills. Florida certification is required. Work hours are 4-7 PM or 4-6PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. You will work with small groups and/or individual students. During this time, our after school program is supporting our students in mastery of subjects taught at school. We provide that additional reinforcement of skills and work with the students classroom teachers to create the best outcomes possible. This is a 10 month postion but you will have the option to work during public school breaks during our camp sessions. Work hours are 4-7 PM or 4-6PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. 2024-2025 Elementary and Middle school Teacher Assistant WC and OL: Looking for an experienced teacher or teacher assistant who wants to work with our students to support their learning. You will be partnered with our teachers and we will create the lesson plans and activities with your suggestions and advice. This is a great team player role and we are hoping to expand this role next year. Work hours are 8:15 AM- 3PM Monday through Thursday and Fridays 8:15 AM-2:30 PM. This is a 10 month position but you will have the option to work during public school breaks during our camp sessions.

2024-2025 Mentor/Coach WC (2024-2025) and OL (Summer 2024 and 2024-2025): This role is great for an individual who enjoys working with students in a small group. We provide the activities and materials, you provide the expertise and fun! Traditionally, this role is held by a junior/senior high schooler or college aged student. College of Education students, this is a great pre-internship!! However, we have had staff who were retired and looking for a part time job too! Must be able to use google docs, and iPad and navigate the web. Light janitorial support at the end of the day is part of this job too such as taking out the trask, wiping down tables, etc. Hours to work are 4-6:15 Monday through Friday. You are also able to work during our vacation camps for holidays and summer in a full time capacity).
